 MY FAMILY AND I WENT TO GAME4 OF THE TIGERS AND YANKEES GAME OVER THE WEEKEND.
JUST THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT THE TIGERS ENTER THE FIELD TO DETROIT ROCK CITY. THEY ALSO PLAYED SHOUT IT OUT LOUD DURING A KEY MOMENT LATE IN THE GAME.
THEN AFTER THE TIGERS PULLED OF THE GREAT UPSET, THE TEAM ROARED BACK ON TO THE FIELD TO CELEBRATE WITH THE FANS WITH ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE PLAYING LOUDLY OVER THE PA SYSTEM.

 I called a few stores and none of them have info on your appearances. They said they don't know how it will be run and to refer to your website for the details. Boscov's in PA was a nightmare to deal with on the phone. Can you clarify the matter please. Will you be signing the perfume or just taking pix? Any help would be appreciated. The answer is: I JUST WORK HERE. I'm kidding, but the translaltion is we all have to abide by the rules of the event I'm appearing in. And, whether it's Dillard's or anywhere else, they want me only to sign KISS FRAGRANCE products.
Otherwise, this turns into something it's not.

Just another example that KISS is alive and kicking in the hearts of its fans. This is the cover on Vancouver's 24Hours daily news magazine today. The United Way held a chili cook-off and this was the winning entry for best chili and best costumes. Love their name, Detroit Rock Chili. If they are taking any inspiration from the song , then it was probably damn hot chili!

I just have to tell you how awesome the KISS fragrance is!
I am sending along a picture that I took of myself, a good friend, and all the wonderful, fun people at the KISS Fragrance booth at the Cincinnati Kiss Convention on Oct. 1st. I absolutely love the stuff! Both the ladies and the mens fragrances are a delight to the senses! One spritz is all you need to last all day! I bought a bottle of the men's cologne just to have that "special man" wear for me....what a turn on!

 Just a quick question. On your web site it says that you will be doing an in store appearance in Las Vegas on Fri 27 October but the poster advertisement says October 28th. Could you please clarify which date it will be because by chance I will be in Vegas for a couple of days around that time and would love to be there on the day.

 OK folks...one last post...time to take the high-road here. Thank you guys for coming out in my support. Let me just clarify...
As I said before, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and a day I'll never forget. Regardless of whether it was everything I hoped it would be (it was pretty darn close), it was alot of fun! Was everything as it seemed? As Gene said in his post today on his site, not necessarily. But it boils down to I got to spend the day with Gene Simmons, and thats pretty f*cking amazing. He didn't have to make this opportunity available, but he did. And as I said before, the Production Group was tremendous, start to finish! They've put together an awesome show, and I hope they get the KUDO's they deserve.
And please don't bombard his site with stuff like that Billy did. He wasn't a D*CK by any means. Keep watching the Family Jewels...keep listening to KISS because they really are the best thing out there in Rock & Roll!! (next to Vintage Roxx, of course)
And finally as I've said, I will make it! One way, or another, you will be hearing from me, but not as "Bob the Fan"...it'll be "Bob the Man"!

TWO TEENAGERS are sitting on a velvet sofa, shoulder to shoulder.
"Some dads are, like, firemen, businessmen, accountants," Sophie Tweed-Simmons says to her brother Nick. "Dad is a fire-spitting demon."
Yeah, life is a little different when KISS co-founder Gene Simmons is your daddy and Shannon Tweed, 1982 Playboy Playmate of the Year, is your mom. And president of your PTA.
While I normally can't bear to watch reality TV because the people are so mean to each other, I find myself tuned into A&E's "Gene Simmons Family Jewels."
That's right. The guy with the eight-inch long tongue and kabuki makeup who spits blood and wants to rock-and-roll-all-night-and-party-ev-er-y-day is on A&E. As a family man.
What is even stranger is how nice his kids are. There is no other word for it. "Nice."
Gene and Shannon have raised startlingly charming kids - the kind you wouldn't mind taking on a car trip. Nick, 17, and Sophie, 14, make the show. They aren't sparkling under the influence. They don't look like their dad stomps them with the silver platform boots to keep them in line. They just look like kids who know somebody loves them.
Which is why I keep on watching. Even though I know this show is staged and edited, that kind of love can't be faked. So I gotta know: How do they do it? How do a rock god and a centerfold raise kids who look happy and laugh naturally and actually, on occasion, seem to like their parents?
These are the lessons I've picked up so far:
It ain't the money: This family has the kind of money that means your driving instructor turns up at your house in a BMW convertible. It means any material good you want is there for the taking. Yet the whole family seems pretty much used to it. And unimpressed. Gene is forever finding out that you can't buy your way into your family's affections.
Be the boss. In this family, the mom and dad are clearly in charge. The kids know exactly where their boundaries are. When mom and dad go out of town and their aunt Tracy (also a Playboy playmate) brings a body piercer over, Sophie doesn't get her navel pierced. She knows exactly what her parents would do and say. She bails.
Marry their mother. Here, we learn from the family how not to behave. Gene and Tweed have been "together" for 23 years. Gene prides himself on never being married or divorced. No one else in the family is too crazy about the situation. Nick says, "Dad calls it 'happily UN-married.' Mom calls it 'waiting.' "
Understand each other. The one thing I envy about this family is the way they understand each other. They can easily predict that mom doesn't like surprises. That dad won't go for Sophie wearing clothes that are too sexy or grown up. That's all good. But they also laugh at each other's character flaws - not in a cruel way, but in the way you laugh when you love someone anyway.
Dress like a mom. Shannon was one of the sexiest women on the planet in the '80s. She is still nicely put together at 48. But she doesn't dress as if she were walking through the pages of Playboy. She doesn't need to cash in on her past. Her daughter follows suit.
Even a jerk can be a good father. I'm not sure about this one. Gene says he has slept with 4,600 women. He thinks up obnoxious business plans like "Gene Simmons' Bikini Carwash." He disdains all fans - even fans who are famous in their own right. He goes to dinner surrounded by breast implants. That can't be a good idea. Still, there are those good kids. He calls his mother all the time. He doesn't drink or do drugs. Will that be enough for the long haul? Jury is still out.
You can't fix everything. Gene decides to orchestrate a gig for Nick's band. He was a rock god, so he is pretty certain he can teach Nick the family business. Not so fast, Dad. When Gene takes him to a convention, Nick draws his dad aside and tells him to stop telling the surrounding chicks to pretend they like him. Even Nick knows he has to find his own way through life. Smart kid.
Save the best part of yourself for the time that you are at home. Most of us put our best selves out in public and save the growly, irritable, tired part of ourselves for home.
Gene once gave a notorious interview on NPR in which he and the even-tempered Terry Gross exchanged nasty barbs.
"I would like to think that the personality you've presented on our show today is a persona that you've affected as a member of KISS," she told him then, "something you do onstage, before the microphone, but that you're not nearly as obnoxious in the privacy of your own home or when you're having dinner with friends."
Gross had his number.
Rock god. Family man. Both. Neither. There is nothing like the puzzle of family life to show a man's true character. Fascinating stuff.

For those of you out there who have not seen Season II of GENE SIMMONS ROCK SCHOOL (has not been broadcast yet in the US -- but has been seen around the rest of the world), the reference is made to the lead singer of the band, Lil Chris. I said he was a star and he is. Chris doesn't need to say thank you to me. He needs to go out there and do the best he can. And, if I find out he is succumbing to the same idiotic life style choices band mates have made, I will make sure he hears my displeasure.
Other than that, he owes me nothing. It's his chance, now.
Rock The Nation Live DVD has re-entered the Australian Charts at number 17.
It has also achieved Platinum status in Australia.

I just want to say thank you for letting me give to my son what my father gave to me. You see years ago my father and I watched "kiss meets the phantom" when it first aired on television. Sadly my father past away back in 2005 and watching that movie together was something I will always remember.
Years later I have kids of my own and recently my 14 year old son thought it would be cool to do a jump of a seven foot cliff on his bike and to make a long story short, He spent 9 days in the hospital with a broken elbow. He has 25 screws and 3 metal plates holding his elbow together 3 operations and many stitches and staples. During his stay and fighting all the pain he didn't want us to miss your show "Family Jewels" and for the first time in days he was laughing and it was cause of you and your family. My son is out of the hospital now and is still talking about your show and for that I thank you and your family.
