July 31st -
 Interviewed CARSON DALY for GS TONGUE #3, which should be out by the Xmas holiday season. #2 is due out by late August. Carson is doing double and triple duty - at MTV and on his own late night show, Last Call. He has also recently started, an as yet unnamed record label through Loud.
The rest of the day was taken up doing phone interviews with the Australian press for my upcoming LECTURE TOUR there -- set to begin October 31st.

July 24th
Flew to New York to promote GS TONGUE and got up at the crack of dawn to do WB Channel 11's morning news program.
 Later in the afternoon, had the pleasure of interviewing RICHARD BRANSON for GS TONGUE. If you've been living under a rock, Branson is the creator/owner of all things VIRGIN... records/airline/mega stores. Went over to his hotel, where there was a press event being held for TOM JONES, who had just signed with Virgin. Also there, was WYCLEF JEAN , who will write and produce the record.
 July 25th
Appeared on the JOY BEHAR SHOW. Joy is one fourth of THE VIEW girls, and in my estimation, is the best thing about the show.
July 27th
Flew back to LA and coincidentally sat alongside TOM JONES. Tom and I discussed a potential interview of the mag.
As soon as I landed, I headed over to UNIVERSAL CITYWALK to do a comic book signing for the premier issue of our new series of KISS COMICS, brought to you by Dark Horse. Thanks to you all for making it such a huge success.
July 22nd -
Hi everybody.
I will be doing a signing in Los Angeles at the "Things From Another World" store in Citywalk, Universal City, CA. (1000 Universal Studios Blvd.) on Saturday, July 27th between 3pm -6pm.
 I will be signing Dark Horse's new KISS COMICS. Issue number 1 is written by Joe (X-Men) Casey and drawn by Mel (Danger Girl) Rubi. They're great books and we're proud of them.

Then, I hope to see you all at the SAN DIEGO COMIC CONVENTION on Friday, August the 2nd and Saturday, August 3rd. I'll be doing some more signings and a question and answer session.
If you haven't heard yet, the debut issue of KISS COMICS has outsold based on presales alone, every Dark Horse comic this year. Thanks to you.
Additional Note: You need to purchase at least one KISS COMIC from the store to meet Gene. You will also be allowed to bring one additional collectible to be signed.

July 20th
Was proud to be invited to ANAHEIM STADIUM (where KISS first played in August of 1976) to pitch for the HOLLYWOOD ALL STARS softball team. On the team were MATTHEW PERRY (Friends), JAMES VAN DER BEEK (Dawson's Creek) and lots of other celebs. Sad to say, we lost. But we went down fighting.

Went to a private screening of K-9 - WIDOWMAKER starring Harrison Ford. Am about to announce a new joint venture soon, but in the meantime, can say that my partner invited me to the event. LARRY KING and I shared some thoughts about the movie at the end of the screening.
