June 30th -
Back from the New York trip to promote my SEX MONEY KISS book. Had lots of fun and was treated like a king. Thanks to all.
Thurs the 26th - started with the CBS' THE EARLY SHOW . Then, went off to FOX TV. And then to WOR Radio. And then to a mid-day booksigning at the downtown NY BORDERS....and ABC Radio...and at night CINDY ADAMS (NY POST columnist) threw me a party at her apartment.
Fri the 27th - started with a 7 am Q104 Radio interview. And then to WNYW TV. And, LAUNCH Radio and in the evening MSNBC TV. Finally ending with a midnight book signing at SCORES Gentlemen's Club. You may have missed a good one, if you weren't there.
Sat the 28th - met with writer ROBERT KAPLOW, who is going to be writing the first of a series of GENE SIMMONS MYSTERIES for Simmons Books/New Millennium. More news on this one as it develops. Then, went to 21, the premier NY eatery, where a group of interesting guys from the political and financial world ate and talked. I was lucky enough to sit next to the beautiful BELINDA STRONACH. Then, finished off the day with RITA COSBY and FOX TV.

Thank you all for making me feel at home at the BOOK SOUP book signing (Sunset Blvd in LA)...and thanks for the kind words about my book, SEX MONEY KISS. Because of its frank tone, I had expected some feedback along the lines of "..how could you say such a thing." Actually, the opposite has happened. You seem to like the book quite a lot.
It's on its way to the best seller list, thanks to you.
 Tomorrow I'm off to the east coast to do tv and more signings..check at the bottom for when and where. Come up and say hello.
My partner in SImmons Books, New Millennium Press took out a full page ad in the New York TImes Sunday edition. Quote "With the possible exception of the Bible, the most chauvinistic book ever written!!!" Hmmm...

As promised, here is the info for the first SEX MONEY KISS book signing. Yes. I will be doing as many as I can during our tour. As cities and dates become a reality, we will post them here.
Monday, June the 23rd at: BOOK SOUP in Beverly Hills. On Sunset Blvd. Across from Tower Records. Please only bring SEX MONEY KISS to sign. Hopefully you'll understand. If I sign everything you bring me, the line will never finish and those in the back of the line will hate both of us. This is book store policy and has nothing to do with me. Save your vile for them. I only work here.
Appeared with DANNY BONNADUCCI (Partridge Family) and the beautiful JAMIE on their radio program this morning to shill for my book. Both were hilarious and Jamie and I went toe to toe (she wishes...I know she's reading this) back and forth. She gave as good as she got.

Gene Simmons, The Demon of the rock band KISS, is , in this man's opinion, a true renaissance man . . . Rock Superstar, Magazine Publisher, Author, Actor, and Record producer . . . Now, add the title of self help guru to this list. In Sex Money KISS (four cassettes, five hours, unabridged, New Milennium/Simmons Audio), Simmons teaches lessons you wish your parents had taught you. His common sense teachings, regarding about work, marriage, taxes and money, may seem coarse in nature and style. Nevertheless, he get the point across and make sense. Simmons's stiff narration is soft and meticulous and makes you want to listen to every word.
June 16th -
Just came back from a Charity Benefit Concert in Portland, Oregon. I was the master of ceremonies at Roseland. Black 'N Blue with Tommy Thayer played, as well as a host of other groups. We had auctions, signings and generally had a ball. All for a good cause. A friend of ours has ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease -- which is a debilitating disease) and the funds went to help make his life a little easier. To all those who came and pledged, a big thank you.
June 14th -
 Am getting involved in a new television project, tentatively titled GIMME SHELTER. Plans are for the series creators and I to bat the story ideas back and forth a little and then go pitch the networks. My partners names will be announced as soon as we sign a deal and start working on the project. But, it sounds like a good premise for a show.
Started doing press for MY DAD THE ROCK STAR (the cartoon show I created). Was interviewed by TV GUIDE and ELLE (Canadian versions). MY DAD has been sold in a number of territories and as soon as we know which U.S. television window will wind up with the show, we'll let you know.

"... I just saw the episode of Family Guy featuring KISS, on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. My God, that was freakin hilarious, from start to finish. And you and Paul actually did your own voices. It was pretty obvious that Ace and Peter did not contribute to the project, as they came off pretty buffoonish. When Ace says, "My Grand Slam was supposed to come with sausage", I about died. And when the chick in the audience blows the words to "Rock and Roll All Night", singing, "Um, and have a wonderful time", I choked on my pizza. And when that fat guy gives you the "We're not worthy" arm-wave and proclaims, "YOU ARE GOD!!!!", and you blow him off, saying "Yeah, great, thanks", Diet Pepsi came out my nose. Thanks for the ability to poke fun at yourself, and for one of the funniest shows I've ever seen in my life..."
June 10th -
I'm proud to say I'm involved in a story line for BART SIMPSON in BONGO COMICS. The story line has already been sketched out and if the end result is anything like I think it will be, you will be laughing till it hurts. The issue comes out in Oct. The Bongo Comics people will write a story for KISSONLINE.COM and posting some of the art as it becomes available.

I'm THRILLED to say that I have actually seen a rough cut of the first MY DAD THE ROCK STAR cartoon I created. It's currently in production. When and where it will see the light of day in America is too soon to tell, but when I know all the info, I will post it here.
The cartoon came about when Nelvana's then President, Toper Taylor and I tried to figure out a way to work on a show together. I started to tell him about my life and how I had a son (before my little girl was born). He found that aspect interesting and poof!!! MY DAD THE ROCK STAR was born.
We pitched it to Nickelodeon years ago and it didn't go. But, in the interim, Nelvana (a Canadian company that does ROLEY POLEY at Disney, THE CARE BEARS and others) decided to start production even without a television window.
The results are fantastic.
You will soon meet Willy Zilla and his entire family: Serenity, his hippy mom. Crystal, his sister (whose only here to torture Willy). Mosh, his ten foot long Kimodo Dragon and ROCKZILLA, his dad.
What happens when a 12 year old boy and his family move into middle America. There's a new kid in town who just wants to fit in. Which is kind of hard to do, when your dad shoots fire out of his ass and has a talking cod piece.
More news as it happens.
 Even though SEX MONEY KISS, my new book on Simmons Books/New Millennium isn't in wide release just yet, the pre-orders are huge. We are all very excited and thank you for your belief in the book. If you haven't read some of the letters in our letter section talking about the book, check em out.
As you may have heard, I have a big mouth and have a lot to say about all sorts of things. If you're curious, get SEX MONEY KISS.
There will be book signings before and throughout our KISS/AEROSMITH tour.
The signings will cover the entire country. So, if you hear about a signing on the East Coast and feel I am neglecting the rest of the country, please just be patient. We'll get to you soon enough.
 And, if all the above weren't enough, I am holding the PROOFS of our upcoming GENE SIMMONS TONGUE issue #5!!! It's great, if I do say so myself. SNOOP DOGG is on the cover, surrounded by four gorgeous girls. Inside, you'll find ROBERT PLANT, JANES ADDICTION, JULIO IGLESIAS JR., BILL AUCOIN (KISS' first manager), ROBERT DUVALL, and tons more. It'll be on the news stands everywhere by mid July.

 The lovely SHANNON TWEED (many Playboy covers, movies and television and the mother of my two kids) has started writing a book for Simmons Books/New Millennium called (gulp!!!) HOW TO RAISE A ROCK STAR. This will be her book and if I know her well enough, I have the distinct feeling I may have to go out and buy myself some Pampers soon.
 We've been doing a lot of press, mostly radio over the last few days for our forthcoming KISS SYMPHONY/ALIVE IV project. It's coming July 22nd. The KISS/AEROSMITH tour starts Aug 2nd. By September, we hope to have the KISS SYMPHONY DVD out as well.

If you've been watching a lot of television lately, yes, that WAS Paul and I in a commercial for the Universal Theme Park in Orlando, Fla. The commercial, if you haven't seen it, shows a guy lounging by the pool, who looks over to his right and sees us both - Paul waves and I stick out my tongue. I've gotten a lot of mail asking if it was us.
And, to answer lots of other questions re who it is that actually answers the letters and posts the news -- its me. Gene Simmons.
I do this myself because you've given me everything I ever imagined. While it's true my days are completely filled with all sorts of activity, there are always long plane rides and quiet evenings (yea, right)...
The least I can do is make myself available for you.
